Amitabh Bachchan is one of the vocal actors about his thoughts on social media. Be it a film, current affairs or any controversial element, the actor tries not to miss out on an issue. Recently, he's done the exact same for Nagraj Manjule's critically acclaimed Marathi film Sairat. The film garnered quite a fan praise and even had the entire B-town going all ga-ga over it. The songs were also very popular and had everybody desperately waiting for Manjule's next.
The news was already out that Nagraj will be making his Bollywood debut soon as a filmmaker and Amitabh Bachchan will be starring in the film but the title of the project was, until recently, a mystery. As per sources, “Nagraj worked on it [the project] for a year-and-a-half before taking the script to Bachchan in January. The project was locked soon after.“
Finally, the title of the film is out and it'll go by the name JHUND. The film will be a story of a retired school professor Vijay Barse from Pune, who trains underprivileged kids in football. The shooting for the film is expected to start in October.
As excited as we are, we cannot wait to witness the magic of Manjule and Mr Bachchan together on-screen.
