Aishwarya Bachchan is all set to work with Anil Kapoor after a long gap in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming project Fanney Khan. Both the actors worked together in films like Taal (1999) and HDAPH (2000). But in this movie both will be seen portraying the role of singers and will play strangers in the film.
If reports are to be believed, earlier the makers of the film were in the search of young talent opposite Aish and have also finalized actor Akshay Oberoi for the same. However, things couldn’t work and the upcoming actor (who is also the cousin of Aish’s Ex-Love interest Vivek Oberoi) has rejected the offer.
Meanwhile, there were rumours that Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao and 3 - Idiot actor R Madhavan were also approached to romance Aishwarya's character.
The Kajrare Girl has been signing films with strong, powerful women-oriented roles or having any social messages which can affect the society. She earlier did Jazbaa (2015) and Sarbjit (2016) with the same intention. Aish signed this film (directed by Atul Manjrekar and co-produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series.) because it deals with the topic of body shaming.

The movie is expected to hit theatres in September.
