Actor Shahid Kapoor is currently awaiting the completion of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period film Padmavati where he stars opposite Deepika Padukone. According to reports, he is already making plans for his next and we will surely be watching a lot of him on screen in the near future.
As per reports, Shahid recently met with 'Rustom' writer Vipul K Rawal and received a detailed narration of a script before flying away to Europe for a two-week holiday with wife Mira and daughter Misha. The script is titled ROSHNI.
It is public knowledge that Vipul's screenplay for Rustom was loosely based on the 1959 Nanavati murder case. The film was critically acclaimed and even went ahead and secured a National Award for superstar actor Akshay Kumar who played the lead role in the film.
When speaking about Roshni, a source reported that "Vipul was clear that he wanted Shahid for the lead and after he heard the story, he immediately gave his nod to the drama even though there was no director on board at the time. The meeting lasted three hours with the writer and actor discussing different plot points in the story and how the film would eventually pan out."
The source further stated that the director for the film has been finalised and Roshni will be helmed by Shree Narayan Singh who is currently enjoying the success of his last directorial venture Toilet - Ek Prem Katha.
Considering all the big guns coming in, Roshni is sure to light up the days in the B-town. Fingers crossed!!
