Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film titled Padmavati has been doing rounds ever since the announcement was made for this project. Earlier there was news of an attempt to burn the sets of Padmavati in Jaipur because of which the director shifted his sets to Kolhapur but it was damaged again. And now there is another issue which will amaze the audience but surely on a positive note.
The lead actress, Deepika Padukone is expected to earn Rs.13 Crore which is more than her both male co-actors Shahid (Kapoor) and Ranveer (Singh). According to Bhansali, the movie belongs solely to Deepika Padukone and she deserves to be paid more than both. The film is based on the life of Rani Padmavati essayed by Deepika (Padukone) who will be the love interest for both Alauddin Khailji and Raja Ratan Singh portrayed by Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor respectively.
As per the reports, both the actors will take the equal digits i.e. Rs. 10 Crore each and the actress while be taking home a whopping sum of Rs.13 crore for the film.
When male actors have always been paid more than the actresses, it seems as if Sanjay Leela Bhansali has put his step forward to change the scenario. A huge appreciation to him from our side.
The movie is expected to hit theaters in November this year and we can’t wait to watch the film despite a lot of controversies.
